Last Minute Beauty Buys

17 April 2015

This Monday I was out shopping with my Mum and Brother and while they were in JD while Callum tried on some shoes, I looked at my phone and realised I still had 10 minutes before Superdrug shut. So, I scooted on over and by the time I got there I had 5 minutes until closing time.

The plan was to get a new pressed powder, but come on, I don't think it's possible to walk into a drugstore and come out with only the thing you actually went in there for in the first place...

Naturally, the first thing that caught my eye was the Fudge Urban section. I've been wanting the (delicious smelling) hairspray for a while now and I'm so glad Fudge is finally getting stocked all over the UK!

I also decided to invest in the dry shampoo as I do love a good dry shampoo, they are lifesavers! This Fudge product also smells pretty yummy and now that I've used it for a few days I can tell you that it's a fab product. It definitely does the job, leaves your hair smelling so good you could eat it and it also doesn't leave white patches (like the Batiste one sometimes can).

I wasn't expecting any less from these Fudge items though, they've had great reviews and I haven't found a fault with any of their products yet. I even love the packaging.

Something else that seems to have had lots of great reviews, Lauren's Way tan. For those of you who don't know this is 'TOWIE' star Lauren Goodger's fake tan range. I've used the mousse before and loved it so I have high hopes for this too! The only thing that did disappoint me was the packaging which looks a little cheap in person.

The thing I actually went in for, Rimmel London's Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I've been using this stuff longer than I can remember!

Another staple piece in my make up bag - Soap & Glory's 'Solar Powder'. This bronzer has both a lighter and darker shade in one. I find this handy as I'm a fake tanner.

I'd seen Zoe Sugg (Zoella) and Tanya Burr use something similar to this once in a vlog and had been on the hunt for the product ever since. I finally found it in Boots lately but it's about £10 for a pack whereas this dupe was about £1.50 if I remember rightly, bargain!

It also left my skin feeling super smooth right up until the next day, which I loved as I think the effects of some face masks don't normally last the night.

This lip balm is hands down the best one I've used so far, it's one of those lip balms that gives you a slight tingling sensation when applied and I've found that usually means it's doing the trick. It's also made of 100% natural ingredients, what's not too love!

It's also not pricey and lasts for ages, I'm only having to replace mine as one of my Dad's kittens decided my last one looked like a good toy and I haven't seen it since.

I seem to have done quite well for a 5 minute spree! I really enjoyed doing this post as I love anything beauty and it also gave me the chance to dust off my photography skills.

I hope you enjoyed reading it and let me know in the comments if you love any of these products too!
