My First FROW Experience at The Bridges Fashion Week

24 April 2016

A couple of days ago I got invited down to The Bridges shopping centre in Sunderland to attend the first catwalk show of their fashion week.

Me and the lovely Beth from Polished Couture got the train down to Sunderland and then made our way to the Bridges to have a little shop and something to eat before the show started. I opted for red velvet cake (obv) and just had to treat myself to a LUSH bath bomb.

I got the 'Avobath' bath bomb because it smelt amazing, it has avocado in it which is super moisturizing, but most of all because I liked the name. Beth and I had a little giggle because 'avobath' literally sounds like "have a bath" in our accent. Ahh, Teesside.

When we'd satisfied our LUSH obsessions and cake cravings, we made our way to the show in the centre where we then met up with Laura from Laura Jayne Online.

On arrival we were greeted with a glass of fizz and a complimentary henna tattoo which I loved and thought was a very unique touch. We also received a goody bag which included hair products, LUSH treats, gift vouchers and more.

Trying not to knock our henna tattoos while they dried we sat on our reserved seats (like real VIP's!) and prepared ourselves for the show.

The show was presented by Capital FM presenter Kelly Scott who explained that we'd be seeing previews for SS16 collections from Debenhams, Topshop, Primark, Select and Van Mildert. I was the most excited to see what Topshop had in store as it's one of my favourite shops.

Debenhams:

Select:

Primark:

I loved the way they put a twist on their catwalk walks as the models did dance routines as well as strutting their stuff. It put a really fun and energetic vibe on it. I also love the fact that they used models of all different sizes, such a refreshing thing to see on a catwalk.

Topshop:

Out of everything I saw this was by far my favourite outfit. It is, of course, from Topshop and I loved everything about the clothes from head to toe. Especially the bomber, it's such a lovely copper colour which is a colour I've never really seen before.

I had such a lovely time at The Bridges and unfortunately I couldn't get this post up in time to let you all know about their other shows but make sure you get yourselves down to the Bridges and check out the launch of all their new collections!

So what's your favourite outfit from the ones I've shown? Let me know in the comments I'd love to hear your thoughts!
