My Top 5 Autumn Lip Products

Today's post is combining two of my favourite things, Autumn and lip products! If you follow me on social media (see links at end of post) then you've probably already picked up on my love for Autumn and the cosiness, clothes and colours it brings (see my ultimate fall make up here), and lip products are probably my favourite part of my make up routine. I feel like I can really experiment with different lip textures and colours, and I think it totally completes any make up look! So today I thought I'd tell you all my top 5 picks for Autumn lips.

1. Hel's Bells - Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips

This lipstick has already had a few mentions on my social media over the past few months, but this season is prime time to really show it off! This stunning deep raspberry coloured lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips range is perfect if you want to make a statement this Autumn! £23

2. To Matte With Love - Mac

I love the formula of Mac's liquid lipsticks, they last so long! And this is probably the only bright pink lip product that I own! Although it's bright, it's not 'Barbie' pink, making it the perfect pink to create a more vibrant autumnal look. £17.50

3. Walkyrie - Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

I actually got this Nars lip pencil about a year ago in a Cohorted beauty box and I wasn't keen on the colour at the time, but a few weeks ago I pulled it back out from my drawer and fell in love! Funny how your taste can change in a year. This, for me, is the most gorgeous brown-toned shade which just screams Autumn. I will definitely be wearing this a lot this season! £19

4. Soft-Spoken - Nyx

A few months ago my local Boots finally got a Nyx counter, what a time to be alive! This liquid suede colour has got to be one of my favourite picks from the counter so far. It's a lovely, deep, brown-toned mauve colour, and the formula is just lovely! It applies super easy, isn't drying and lasts for a long time, especially considering the price. £6.50

5. Retro Red - Rimmel London

This new addition to Rimmel London's Kate Moss range has only just arrived recently, good timing and all that! This deep cranberry red gives you a stunning berry lip with a creamy formula, love! £6.49

So those are my top choices for autumnal lips, what about you? Which lip shades have you been loving so far this season? Let me know the comments, I'm always looking to try out new lip products!

Covershoot Cosmetics | A New Budget Beauty Brand

A few weeks ago the lovely people from Covershoot Cosmetics got in touch and asked if I'd like to try out their new products. Covershoot Cosmetics is a new budget friendly brand so with my love of beauty and bargains, I was more than up for trying out their debut collection!

In my box I found a contour kit, an eyebrow kit, 2 eyeshadow palettes and a nail varnish remover 'twist' pot. I was most excited about the contour kit and twist pot as these are both products that I've been wanting to try but didn't own yet (a beauty blogger without a contour palette.. I know!).

When doing swatches I was quite surprised in how pigmented the shadows, eyebrow powders and contour cream shades were. Considering this is such a budget friendly brand, I think they're definitely worth the money and a great option for students, like me!

Although the brighter eyeshadows might be sat in my draw more than the other products, I think they'll be great for the day when I decide to be adventurous and do a really bright eye look! Maybe next summer.

The whole range comes really nicely packaged and holds a more luxury feel than you would expect. The kits also come with instructions advising how to use the products which is really useful, especially for beginners.

So far I've gotten the most use out of the twist pot as it's so easy, I don't think I've used nail varnish remover and cotton wool balls since! But I can't wait to give the rest of the range a try.

Covershoot Cosmetics is now available in Poundland, Savers and Amazon. You can also visit their social media pages:

Anastasia Berverly Hills | Master Palette by Mario

When I'm feeling a little bit down in the dumps one of the best ways to cheer myself up is to buy new make up (anyone else?!), and two weeks ago when I said goodbye to my boyfriend for the next 4 months, that's exactly what I did with the new Master Palette by Mario from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I think it's fair to say it definitely did the trick!

This is one of the most highly anticipated eyeshadow palette's I've heard of in a while, and although it is an absolutely stunning palette, it's also because it was designed by celebrity make up artist Mario Dedivanovic aka @makeupbymario on Instagram. Mario's most common client is non other than Kim Kardashian herself and the palette was apparently designed with her in mind, so it's no wonder it sold out!

Let me tell you it was hard to hold off swatching this dreamy palette when it arrived and wait until I'd taken pictures, but when I'd finally got the pictures I decided to put it to the test before a night out last weekend, and the verdict? I. LOVE. THIS. PALETTE.

It comes with a mirror and double ended brush inside, and the colours are super pigmented, it's probably the most pigmented palette I own now! There's a great range between colours, neutrals, metallics and mattes and I can see this becoming my go-to before any night out or special occasion now (although I don't think it will overtake my much loved Bon Bons palette from Too Faced).

The shades blended so easily and I think it would work well for most skin tones. Although I'm quite pale, the darker shades still work well for me. I also love that there's enough variation of colours to create a light look or a really heavy smokey eye, so it's a fab option if you're going away or like to change up your look depending on your mood.

I got this dream of a palette straight from the Anastasia Beverly Hills website and it was priced at $45 (£36 for me). I thought this was a pretty reasonable price as you definitely pay for good quality with this palette and although it sold out on the ABH website, I think it's now available on the likes of Sephora. This was also my first time ordering from ABH and I'm really impressed, it took just about a week to arrive and I didn't get any custom charges!

Overall, I'm over the moon with this new addition to my eyeshadow palette collection and I'm sure I'll be getting more than my money's worth out of it. What about you? Have any of you tried this palette? If so, what did you think of it? As always I'd love to have a chat with you in the comments!

My Perfect Autumn Make Up

Autumn is without a doubt my favourite season of the year. What's not to love about cosy clothes, candles, hot chocolate, pumpkin spice latte's (my new fave), and of course autumnal make up! Golden eyes and berry lips are one of my favourite make up looks of all time, so I decided why not film my first make up tutorial and show you all how I create my Autumn look?

I was kinda nervous about showing my naked face on screen for the first time, but now it's up I'm kinda like 'meh, whatever, this is me!' and I'm actually super pleased with how it turned out. The video is now up so I will link it below and I hope you all enjoy! Please let me know your thoughts, I'd really love to know what you thought of my first make up video.
