My October Faves

2 November 2016

It's been a while since Just Lucy's Life has seen a favourites post. The reason for that is partly because I'm a student and can't afford to try out a lot of the products I'd like to each month (anybody else with me on this one?!), partly because I've stuck to the same routine, but also because I couldn't decide whether I liked showing you all my faves better on here or over on Youtube. However, I've decided to stick to my blog for this months favourites.

I've been loving quite a few new products this month, and I've also rekindled my love for others. Now that Autumn is in full swing I've loved switching up my make up routine, especially when it comes to brown toned lip colours, I've really got on to that trend! So here are my October faves, enjoy!

I'll start off with the Molten Metal nail varnish from Barry M. This was something that I'd heard Zoella mention, and the other week I finally decided to pick one up. For just £3.99 I couldn't resist and it's quickly become one of my go-to nail colours. The shade I picked up is a lovely golden, copper colour which is perfect for Autumn or the festive season, and as always with Barry M nail varnish, it applies easily and dries quickly which is great for lazy people like me.

Two of the products that I've rekindled my love for is the Mary Lou Manizer from The Balm and my Naked Flushed trio from Urban Decay. The Mary Lou Manizer is just such a lovely golden highlighter, and I love it because you can apply a little during the day or build it up for a stunning night time glow. I've also been loving the highlighter in the Urban Decay trio which I got when I went to New York 2 years ago. I've been trying not to use it too much as I recently got told the shade I got has now been discontinued, but I've hit the pan on the highlighter and bronzer. The highlighter is more white which I think gives a really nice healthy glow, and using the bronzer and fresh pink blush alongside with it gives a gorgeous finish.

Moving on to the higher end products, I just have to start with the Master Palette by Mario. You can read my full review here, but this has become my go-to palette before a night out. The pigmentation is insane and I'm so glad I got my hands on this highly anticipated palette before it sold out. I've also found my new favourite brow product in Benefit's 'Precisely, My Brow' pencil. The fine tip allows an easy but natural application, and it lasted me a good 2 and a half months before running out so I will definitely be repurchasing another one soon. The Tattoo Liner from Kat Von D is another high end product that's been crowned a new go-to, this liner is so easy to apply and is worth all the hype it's been getting.

Moving on to the Bondi Sands tan. If you follow my blog then you'll already know my love for this tan after I wrote a review on it here, but recently after losing my tanning mitt I had no other option but to apply it with a sock. Yep, you read that right, a sock. However, even when applied with a sock it still provided a perfect, natural and non-streaky application.. officially the best tan ever!

And finally, as it's only just been released about a week or so ago this was quite a late favourite this month, but a huge fave none the less! I've been on the hunt for the perfect, brown toned, matte lip product ever since I posted my top 5 Autumn lips post. I used to stay away from brown tones on my lips as I'm blonde and fair, but I found my perfect match in Rimmel London's 'Trendsetter' from their new matte lipstick range. Not only is it a stunning colour, but it's also got a lovely formula as, although it's matte, it's still super creamy which I adore! I just wish I discovered it earlier as it definitely would have been included in my top lip products for Autumn post.

I hope you enjoyed this (quite chatty) monthly favourites post, I really enjoyed writing it!

What about you guys? What products have you been loving throughout October? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear your faves!
