How I Spend Christmas Eve | Blogmas Day 24

24 December 2016

I can't believe today is the last day of Blogmas! I'm really proud to say that I've kept Blogmas up and have blogged everyday of December in the lead up to Christmas, even with Uni deadlines and other Christmas plans going on! It's probably my biggest blog achievement of the year, yay me!

I've decided that I'm just going to have to blog twice a week starting January instead of just my usual once a week upload, I'd miss uploading so much after being so into creating content this month! Now to get on to my final Blogmas post....

Christmas is a holiday full of traditions and I'm always intrigued to hear how other people spend their Christmas Eve/Christmas. So today I'm going to give you a rough breakdown of how I've spent today getting ready for the big man himself's arrival!

11am - I woke up. This is the first Christmas Eve I haven't worked in 2 years so I was so appreciative of the lie in! I also woke up to a call from my Dad asking if I'd like a Costa bringing home and of course the answer was YES! A honeycomb latte and advent calendar chocolate with my breakfast this morning went down a treat!

12:30pm - I put the TV on and watched Despicable Me then Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone with my Dad. Christmas Eve is a movie day for me!

2:30pm - I skyped my boyfriend Jordan (as he's away with the RAF at the moment) and we spoke about things like how I've probably had too much coffee (maybe I should have got a medium...oops!) and what time we're going to skype tomorrow to open presents in front of each other.

4pm - Dad picked Callum up from work and we then went back to my Mum's, a few more presents in hand to give out to some of the family!

5pm - I made myself a bun which my Mum bought from the bakery this morning filled with some 'proper ham' which is basically our name for the fancy ham you get from Morrison's. Mum always gets 'proper ham' in for Christmas time. The bun was accompanied by some Treeslets (cheeselets in the shape of Christmas trees) and some of my Lindt teddy bear from today's door on my advent calendar.

6:30pm - I went round to my friend Grace's house so we could exchange Christmas presents. We only live down the road from each other so we normally give each other our presents on Christmas Eve!

8pm - I started to write this post. As I write this I'm currently in my Christmas pj's watching Christmas specials of The Simpsons with Callum and we're then going to watch the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special!

10pm - I'll be going upstairs with a cup of tea and putting The Santa Clause 2 on. I mentioned in my 5 top Christmas movies post that watching The Santa Clause 2 has become my own little tradition to watch before bed. It's just a lovely Christmas film and it gets me extra excited to wake up in the morning and open my presents before heading to my Aunty's for Christmas dinner.

That's how I've spent my Christmas Eve, how do you spend yours?

Thank you so much to all of you who's stuck around during Blogmas, I'm so pleased with how it's gone and I hope you've loved reading my daily posts as I loved writing them! I hope you all have the best Christmas and don't forget to leave a mince pie out for Santa!
