Kylie Cosmetics | Vacation Collection

19 July 2017

If you're a regular reader of Just Lucy's Life then by now you'll have figured out how much I love Kylie Jenner and her make up line, so when I saw the launch of this amazing new Vacation collection, I just had to get my hands on some pieces.

Naturally, the first thing that caught my eye was the Take Me On Vacation palette. I've only tried one of Kylie's eyeshadow palettes before (the Royal Peach palette) but word on twitter grape vine was that she's massively improved the formula and packaging. Although the price point was a little steep ($52) you could tell that extra money had gone into this palette, so you were definitely paying more for quality.

The layout of the palette reminded me a lot of ABH's with the square pans in 2 rows and the cardboard packaging. However, although the packaging is cardboard it definitely doesn't feel cheap. The whole vibe of the palette is sleek and luxury, Kylie definitely stepped up her game.

The shades are SO pretty and there's a good range between mattes and metallics. This is the first palette I've picked up and wanted to create my full eye look with matte shades so that really says something, and I love incorporating the pink and purple shade into a smokey brown look. The metallics are stunning and even more intense when applied with a wet brush. The colour that really caught my attention was the turquoise named Island Girl. I used it on my lower lash line one night in Ibiza and it looked so amazing, even applied with a dry brush. I also like how big the mirror is at the top and the dual ended brush, I used the brush while on holiday and really got on with it.

The other product I managed to pick up was the highly raved about loose highlighter pot. I got the shade Fiji as it's gold toned so I thought it would be perfect with a bronzed look.

The first time I applied this highlight I was so impressed, it's BLINDING! The fact that it's a loose powder can get a little messy but as long as you tap off the excess before applying you're good to go. If you're looking for an intense highlight then I'd definitely suggest you grab one of these pots if you can as it was only $15 and the quality is amazing!

I think this has got to be one of my favourite purchases from Kylie Cosmetics yet, if not my favourite of the year so far!

Have you tried anything from the Vacation collection yet? Let me know in the comments!

  4. Large families or groups traveling together can often find homes to rent for vacation with as many as ten bedrooms. Renting a large house for a group means sharing the price which is usually far less than renting several hotel rooms.
