The Ultimate Festive Look with Bourjois

1 December 2017

There's many things I love about Christmas, the sparkly lights, Christmas trees, spending time with family... but one thing I love in particular this time of year is experimenting with make up! Last week I was lucky enough to receive a Bourjois Voxbox full of make up goodies to create the perfect look for the festive season! So I thought this would be the perfect way to kick off my '12 Days of Christmas' posts this year....

I've used Bourjois ever since my early teens, so receiving all of these gorgeous products was a bit nostalgic for me. With enough products packed in there to crete a whole make up look, I couldn't wait to get stuck in!

As you can see I went for a very berry inspired look. I love berry tones this time of year and if there's any time to rock a red lip, it's Christmas, right?

Starting off with the foundation, I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm super fussy on foundation and rarely steer off my beloved Revlon Colourstay, so when I like a new foundation you know it's good. The Healthy Mix foundation is full of vitamins, which I feel is an essential in this cold weather, my skin needs all the loving it can get! In consistency it was thick yet really easy to blend and gave a natural but full coverage, and it feels really comfortable on the skin. Used with the Healthy Mix concealer under my eyes, I felt like my face had brightened up and looked loads more awake, perfect for those early mornings.

Next I moved to blush to add my cheeks a bit of colour. I used the shade Rose D'or and it gave a gorgeous, healthy flush. Then it was time for eyeshadow and I couldn't wait.

Out of this purple quad I used the nude shimmer colour on my brow bone, the purple on the outer corners of my eye and in the crease, and the lilac/silver glitter shade in the middle to create a halo effect. I then used the truffle brown shade on my lower lash line and added two coats of the Push-Up mascara and the look was complete in an easy 2 minutes.

As I've got green eyes the purple really compliments my eyes and I feel like the whole look just makes my eyes pop. Love, love, love! The eyeshadows are also really creamy, blend-able and pigmented, I was really surprised at how good the quality is.

Then to finish off the look I chose a dark, cherry red Rouge Velvet lipstick. I was tempted by both the brown shade and the berry purple shade Bourjois included as they're all stunning, but I felt like for Christmas it was only right to wear a red lip!

I also love Bourjois' Rouge Velvet lipsticks as they stay on allll night.

I'm so pleased with how this look turned out and I'll definitely by recreating it for any upcoming Christmas parties or events. Thank you so much to Bourjois and Influenster for letting me try these gorgeous make up treats. I'm sure I'll be using them a lot this festive season and long after.

Which make up product do you love most at Christmas? Let me know in the comments.
