Spice Up Your Look with Too Faced's Gingerbread Spice Palette

26 October 2018

If you're looking for Autumn in a palette then stay right there! Because I've found it...

When I first saw Too Faced's latest palette was going to be called Gingerbread Spice I automatically cleared a space for it in my collection. I love anything to do with Autumn and if it was anything like my beloved Chocolate Bon Bons palette, I knew it was sure to be a hit.

Although the theme was what first drew me in, the shades absolutely sold this palette for me. With a mixture of warm tones including neutrals, shimmers and brights, it's definitely my cup of tea. When opening the palette you are greeted by a slight scent of Gingerbread which I absolutely love, it's a great added detail.

To me, I love a palette that is pretty much half mattes and half shimmers as it allows you a lot of freedom with looks, and with this palette you get exactly that. Just looking at it I can create countless looks and combinations in my head which means I'm definitely going to get my use out of it. I also know that this palette will carry me from Autumn and right through to the festive season as there are so many gorgeous shimmers that I can't wait to use during the Christmas period.

Another thing I have to mention about this palette is the pigmentation. As I found with my Chocolate Bon Bon's palette, the colours are super pigmented and so easy to blend. The first time I used it, I used Lookie at my Cookie as my transition shade and Spice is Nice on top of that and it instantly gave me the perfect base. I then went for the daring pink shade Gumdrop which is so stunning and so pigmented! To complete the look I added Hot Toddy on my lids and I had a gorgeous glam look done so effortlessly in about 5 minutes. These are the kind of palettes I search for - effortless yet stunning!

The shimmers are all packed with colour and shimmer as well, the only shade that lets the palette down in my opinion is Frostbite Me! But I also think that with a wet brush it could build up beautifully, so it's definitely not a deal breaker.

Some more favourite shades of mine from this palette are Spiced Rum, Warm & Toasty, Bake It 'Til You Make It and Figgy Pudding. Ahh, is it Christmas yet?!

If you're like me and love warm shades and lots of shimmer, then this palette is for you! I know I'm going to be using it non stop and I can't wait to share more looks with you all on Instagram, so make sure you're following @justlucyslife to see!

What's your go to palette this season? Is the Gingerbread Spice palette on your wish list? Let me know in the comments!
