Although I normally do get really excited for christmas it just doesn't seem to have hit me yet this year and it's kind of getting me down because I want to get into the festive mood. So, I've decided to make a list of 10 of the things that I look forward to at Christmas time.
1. Christmas songs - they just put you in a happy mood don't they?
2. Christmas movies - some of my favourites are Love Actually, The Holiday, Santa Claus 2 and Bridget Jones' Diary (although I guess Bridget Jones can be watched all year round really? idk)
3. Colder weather - Ok so I am a typical british girl, call me weird but I actually do look forward to the colder weather and just being able to wrap up and wear cosy clothes!
4. Christmas shopping - Yes, it can be stressful, but I love picking out presents that my friends and family will love, and it's even better as I finally have a job so I can actually pay for presents this year!
5. Decorations - From inside the house to outside the house to your local supermarket to the town centre, it seems like everyone wants to get involved in Christmas decorations
6. Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass - I can FINALLY listen to one of my favourite All Time Low songs for at least the next month (like literally it'll be on repeat 24/7 not kidding)
7. Snow - I pretty much gave up hoping for a 'white christmas' a long time ago but Christmas time generally means snow is coming at one point or another
8. Clothes - it's party clothes season, there's nothing wrong with a little glitter!
9. The food - OBV! Of course there's Christmas dinner but then there's Christmas pudding and Christmas cake and more chocolate than you should probably eat but it's christmas so WHO CARES!
10. The fact that for one day a year nothing else matters other than family and friends and loved ones all coming together (got a little deep there, sorry, cringey but it's true)
