Review | Tanya Burr Brow Palette

28 August 2015

With my eyebrows well overdue a HD brow treatment, I'm finding it harder to maintain the shape and style that I like.

As the tint has now officially left the building (aka my face) and my eyebrow hairs being practically white, I sometimes struggle to keep me eyebrows looking neat. This situation lead to a few days ago when I had a picture taken and looking back on it I was horrified, my eyebrows were way too dark and big! So that same day I popped into Superdrug and picked up this Brow Palette from Tanya Burr's beauty collection.

I had seen her promoting this product and wanted to try it out as soon as I could so, after looking through every other product in her range and 'aw'ing' at the names, I bought it.

First of all, I know that Tanya took some time to change the packaging of her products and I love the new look! It's the perfect balance between drugstore and high-end, it looks chic and classy yet super cute!

When you open the palette you are presented with four powders; three eyebrow shades and a highlighter. They are accompanied by a small angled brush for application, tweezers and a mirror on the flip side. I love how much is included as it's so handy to have everything in one place and you're definitely getting your money's worth! (£7).

On application, the powder does take a few coats to build up the colour, but I quite like that! I could easily go for one coat and be happy with the look but I built up the colour as I prefer a more full colour. I normally have medium brown eyebrows so I find that 'Chestnut' works well for me. However, if I did want to go for a more subtle look, I think 'Pebble' would look nice too.

Even though there is only 3 colours, I think there's definitely one to match every skin tone/eyebrow colour.

I also love the fact that you get an angled brush to apply the powder as if you watch Tanya's videos then you'll probably know that that's her favourite way of doing her brows. It's also probably the easiest way to get a precise shape.

And last but not least, much like all of the products in the Tanya Burr range, I just love the names of all of the colours! They're one of my favourite part about the collection, I just think they're so cute.

What about you? Have you tried this palette yet? If so what did you think of it? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
