Event | The Olde Young Tea House Blogger's Meet Up

29 September 2015

Last Sunday I was invited by the lovely ladies at The Olde Young Tea House to attend a blogger's meet up. After hearing that there was going to be drinks, cakes, a photo booth, the chance to meet new bloggers and have a catch up with the girls that I already know, I jumped at the chance! I've also been dying to visit this tea room as I've seen SO many pictures of their tea and cakes on Instagram!

On arrival we were greeted by a selection of drinks and cupcakes. It was hard picking which cupcake to try as they all looked so good but in the end I chose the Bueno cupcake. It was probably the best cake I've ever had!

I loved the whole shabby-chic look of the tea room, it just looks exactly like you'd want a tea room to look like. It's so cute and quaint.

Everyone sat down at the tables and started to get to know each other. It was so lovely to meet new people as if there's one thing I've found out about blogger's, it's that everyone is so friendly!

Megan and Carli also set up a sparkly Photo Booth to break the ice and got people to go up in groups and get some snaps taken!

I thought this was such a fun idea and we got some great pictures.

After our mini-photo shoot, we were treated to, of course, a cup of tea!

There were a few different options but I opted for the 'Sleeping Beauty' tea. It's a green tea with rose petals (and lime, I think?!) and it was so yummy!

Normally with green tea I can drink it but don't necessarily enjoy it, which is why I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed this tea and I will definitely be going back in the near future to buy some for myself.

I absolutely loved this event, I don't think a smile left my face the whole time I was there. It was so nice to meet some new faces and to catch up with some of the girls I already knew, I hope this will be the start of a few friendship's.

If you're ever in Middlesbrough you've just got to visit The Olde Young Tea Room. The girls who work there are just so lovely (and stylish!!), it's the cutest tea room you'll ever visit and it's so 'Instagrammable', which is always a good thing! I'm so glad I've now discovered this tea room and I can't wait for my next visit!

Thanks again to Megan and Carli for a fab night. If you'd like to check out their blogs then I'll leave their links below.
