Middlesbrough No7 Blogger's Event

21 October 2015

On Friday I was very kindly invited to attend a Blogger's Event held by the lovely ladies at No7 in Boots. I was excited for this event as I'd heard the previous one was fab, and I was definitely not let down!

On arrival we were introduced to our three hosts from the No7 counter and were offered a selection of cakes and drinks including tea, coffee and juice.

We were then presented No7's latest body care collection. I'd already tried their 'Beautiful Skin' moisturiser before and loved it, so I was excited to see what this collection included as it is part of their 'Beautiful Skin' range.

They had a mixture of moisturisers, scrubs and even a milk which apparently is something No7 have never done before! The products all hold a gorgeous smell which is sweet and floral yet subtle. I think that's great because if a smell is too overpowering it sometimes puts me off the product.

No7 have also gone for some new branding techniques including their fab new packaging designs.

They've gone for the neutral colours of grey and lemon meaning that it will look more appealing to a wider range of customers.

This is also a point that our hosts made was that the beauty brand are working their way towards reaching a younger audience as well as their more mature customer. They want people to see that there is something for everyone at No7!

One thing that I'd heard about and had always wanted to try was the colour match service that they offer, so of course I jumped at the chance to get it done on Friday!

Although I already have my holy grail foundation (Revlon Colourstay) I am always open to trying new foundations out so I decided to give the Airbrush Away Foundation a go.

The machine matched my skin tone to the foundation shade 'calicco' which was of course the lightest shade (#ghostforever) and then told me which colour blushers I should use. There were about 3 colours which were all quite bright pink's. I've always thought that I suit bright pink blush's the best so I was glad the machine agreed with me!

I think this piece of technology is brilliant, it can tell you which colour foundation, blusher and even lipstick you should be wearing. Genius!

Another part of the event was being shown all the sparkly Christmas stuff that is now out from No7. There was a whole counter full of Christmas gifts that come with a 3 for 2 deal.

I feel like the No7 Christmas gifts are definitely good value for money. We got shown that you don't pay extra for the packaging. For example, you can get a Nail Varnish in a sparkly star-shaped box (that you could then use as a cute little trinket box after) for just £6 which is the Nail Varnish's original price.

And then, there's one of No7's most anticipated products, their beauty advent calendar! I'd personally only started hearing about beauty advent calendars last year so I've never really come across this but it's won many awards for being the number 1 beauty calendar! It retails at a price of just £38 and holds products that all together are worth £148. That's such a huge discount and it's so popular that there's even a waiting list, so if you want one then get in there quick!

Just before leaving I was given a a goodie bag which included a few samples and even some little treats like an Essie nail varnish!

We were also given the chance to choose any full sized product of our choice. Trust me, it took me a while to decide! But in the end I chose to go with the Hydration Mask from the Beautiful Skin range. I might do a review on that one so keep your eyes peeled.

Over all I absolutely loved my first No7 event at Boots and it's always good to catch up with some of the gorgeous north east bloggers! Thanks again to the ladies at No7 for hosting a fab event!

Have you ever tried anything from No7? If so, what did you think?
