Gift Wrapping Idea | Blogmas Day 7

7 December 2016

This year I've actually been really organised when it comes to buying Christmas presents. I love buying presents for people, I think that's one of my favourite things about Christmas, finding the perfect gift that you think your friends and family will love. This year is the first year I've decided to do a gift wrapping post as I'm normally not too inventive, usually using some nice wrapping paper and labels picked out from the shops, but this year I've gone a little DIY.

I decided to go for a patterned wrapping paper from Morrisons which has a classic Christmas colour theme of red and gold and silhouettes of reindeers on it.

I then picked up some string from my local craft store, deciding to stick with the theme of red and gold, which both have 'Merry Christmas' written along them. I originally planned to tie the string in a classic cross shape but I decided that just one line looked a lot cuter and more simplistic.

Getting on to the more DIY part, I cut some love heart shapes out from silver metallic paper then I got 2 candy canes and stuck them down with some clear sellotape around the label to make a heart shaped outline. I think this looks super cute and it also means that whoever is receiving your present gets an extra treat of two yummy candy canes as well!

I'm really pleased with how my gift wrapping turned out and I can't wait to give them out to my friend, boyfriend and family!

What do you think? Have I given you some inspiration or do you like to wrap your presents a different way? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to have a chat!
