Urban Decay's New Cherry Palette & Swatches!

28 September 2018

I think it's fair to say that after the hype of Urban Decay's last Naked palette, the Naked Heat, there was always going to be high expectations for their next release, and I'm glad to say it doesn't disappoint!

As soon as I saw the Naked Cherry palette I knew I just had to have it and I was lucky enough to get it on pre-release. The warm, pink tones are right up my street and it looks like a good mixture between Neutral and Cherry tones. The one thing I would say is to me, if I picture Cherry shades they would be more red, but this might just be me! However, the shades are stunning all the same.

First of all, I think this packaging is my favourite UD have ever done. With gorgeous deep fuchsia and golden shades, it definitely ticks the aesthetically pleasing box. I also love the brush this time. Over the years I've never really picked up the brushes in the Naked palettes but this time the quality seems to be a lot better with the bristles being a lot softer I can imagine especially the bigger side will be great for blending.

The only bad point I have to say on swatching is some of the first shades such as Caution and Bang Bang take a bit of build up to get good pigment, but this could be different when using straight on the eye instead of finger swatches. The rest of the shades are gorgeous in my opinion, with Turn on, Ambitious, Bing and Young Love being some of my favourites.

Another good point about this palette is that I think it's a good one for travel, or if you need one palette to create day and night looks with as it features light shades, smokey shades and shades that you could easily use in the day or night making it super versatile, which is a major thing I look for in a palette.

The shimmer shades are definitely the show stoppers of the palette. They're so pigmented and are absolutely stunning. I'm going out tonight and I can't wait to create a smokey, shimmery look with these colours, I'll be stuck for choice!

Overall, if you're on the fence about getting this palette when it officially releases then I'd definitely say it's worth it! I can see it becoming a favourite in my collection, Urban Decay have done it again!

What are your thoughts? Will you be picking up the Naked Cherry palette? I'd love to hear what you think in the comments down below!
