Reflecting On Last Year & What I'm Looking Forward To In 2019

6 January 2019

2018, you were a crazy but wonderful one.

In 2018 I stepped massively out of my comfort zone in many ways and I'm SO glad I spread my wings. First of all in February I took a dream trip to Disneyland Paris with my bestie and it was the first time I went on a plane without any family. Flying makes me anxious but I'm happy to say I handled it, didn't go into a panic attack and had the most amazing time! I also entered the regional finals of Miss GB to try something new and get myself out on a stage again and even though my legs were literally trembling in the first round, it's one of my highlights from last year and I loved the experience, so much so that I've entered another pageant for this year!

Not only did I take chances in 2018, I also focused on myself and entered the new year a much happier, healthier and stronger person. Part of this is because of the gym, and trust me, I never thought I'd be a 'gym person'! But it's helped my mental state so much and makes me feel good inside and out. My fitness is definitely something I'm taking with me this year and will continue to better and push myself through it. It feels amazing to challenge myself and to hit those goals!

I also learnt a lot about people last year. I lost friends and gained some. I dealt with someone who did nothing but try to bring me down. I learnt that not everyone always has the good intentions they make you believe they do and I learnt that people let you down, but this is totally ok! I know I've got amazing people around me and good friends and family are all I need, and I'm so lucky to have just that! Karma is a wonderful thing and the liars eventually get found out, so I'm just going to sit back, do my thing and be happy!

Ok, so what is 2019 going to bring?

Honestly, this year is a fricking scary year for me! I'm going to graduate (unless something goes tragically wrong) and then I need to actually decide what I want to do with my life! I have a few options in mind at the moment, one of those finally taking the leap to being a full time Blogger! It would be a huge risk but I just think if I try it and it doesn't work out, then at least I tried right? I also really want to go travelling to places such as Bali, Vietnam, Thailand etc, but I know I wouldn't want to do it on my own, so we'll have to see if and when that happens!

I'm also going into 2019 with a much more positive mental attitude! I have no time for drama or people/things/situations that don't make me happy. I'm also going to try my best to stop putting myself down and over thinking things, I can definitely be my own worst enemy but at the same time my biggest motivator. I'm going to throw myself into creativity this year and do what makes me happy, and I'm really excited to see what 2019 will bring. I feel so strong and inspired at the moment, like the world is my oyster, and I really hope that continues.

I want to wish you all the very best for 2019, let's make it an amazing one.

What are you goals for this year? Tell me all about them in the comments!
