What 2017 Has Been and My Goals for 2018

2017 has been a whole spectrum of emotions for me. There's been a lot of change, and a lot of ups and downs. At times I've been over the moon happy, I've felt love, I've had heartbreak, I've dealt with betrayal, I've adjusted to some huge changes, I've felt the most insecure I have in years, I turned 21, I've made the absolute best memories with some of the best friends you could ask for, I went on my first holiday without my parents, I've made so many achievements. It's been a whirlwind.

I've learnt a lot of things this year, first thing being that sometimes people don't turn out to be who you think they are, but that's ok. I intend on surrounding myself with nothing but positive vibes and positive people in the new year. I know who I need in my life and who doesn't matter, and I'm so much stronger from the hurt and I think that's definitely a positive. I have so many truly amazing people around me that anyone else is irrelevant. 

I've also learnt that I need to put my happiness first sometimes. If you're not happy with something, change it. This year I started a new job that I thought I was going to love but it ended up being a really unhealthy environment and it was soo bloody miserable! I quit after 3 months and struggled for months after without pay, but it was so worth the struggle as now I'm in 2 part time jobs that I absolutely love and it feels so good to enjoy work again!

There was definitely a time this year where I felt lost and I didn't really know what I wanted to do with my life. I was so consumed what was going on around me I forgot to focus on myself, so 2018 will be the year I give myself some well deserved attention! I will always stand by the fact that size doesn't matter, but I know what size I feel comfortable at and I haven't been comfortable in my own skin for most of the year really. However, I've already shed a few pounds and I feel the world of good for it, I'm starting to feel myself again!

So.. my goals for 2018! Basically, I just want to get my sh*t together! This is going to sound so cliche but I really want to focus on my health and get myself to the weight I was last summer. My confidence has gone down a bit this year due to putting weight on but I'm determined to get that confidence back, and get healthier whilst doing it! Plus, I need to DRINK MORE WATER. I also really want to work on the quality of my content here on my blog and Instagram. I was lucky enough to get the 45mm lens for my Olympus Pen for Christmas so expect better pictures and lots more outfit pics! I'll also be finished with my second year of Uni this Summer (so crazy how fast it's going!) so I'm aiming to come out with at least a 2:1 or a first if I'm really lucky.

And last but definitely not least, I'm going to be myself. It's like I almost went into a shell this year but 2018 I'm turning into a butterfly and spreading my wings! I already feel in such a positive mind set to walk into 2018 with, and I already have so many things planned for the new year including a trip to Disneyland Paris with my bestie and I'm going to see Michael McIntyre with my Dad, his girlfriend and my brother which I can't wait for. I'm leaving the negative stuff and toxic people in 2017 and I have very high hopes for 2018 to be an amazing year!
